Why Don’t People Meditate?

The answer to the question, “Why don’t people meditate?” is a really simple answer. The most common answer to this question ~ even these days when meditation is looked upon as a good and desirable thing ~ is unequivocally, hands-down ~ “I don’t have time to meditate.”

But, contrary to popular belief, meditation is not a time consuming activity. Not at all. In 10 to 15 minutes of meditation, you can change your whole vibration, and thus, your whole world, both inner and outer. That’s pretty amazing.

So, “I don’t have time,” becomes somewhat of an excuse rather than a reason.

When we want to change our physical body for the better, to get the results we seek, we know we should exercise. And to benefit physically from that exercise, our workout should be at the very least a half hour per day.

When we want to change our etheric bodies for the better, we know we should meditate. And we can accomplish our goals for this in about 10 minutes a day as opposed to a half hour or more of physical activity to see a physical body result.

Sometimes, the hardest part, just like with physical exercise, is just getting started and then committing to it. But why should we meditate or why should we meditate more often?

Meditation simplified, is stress relief. It’s bliss. It’s connection. It’s Zen zone-out time. It’s 10 minutes of alignment. It’s 10 minutes of happiness. It’s 10 minutes of time for YOU.

And that 10 minutes of zone-out can make all the difference in how you approach your physical world. Don’t you need stress relief? Don’t you need to relax? Then why is meditation last on your list? Why are YOU last on your list?

Starting your day with a 10 minute meditation sets the whole tone of what comes next and how you react to it. Meditating regularly will help you cope with your stressful, busy day. Ending your day with meditation can result in deeper and more restful sleep. So why don’t people meditate?

Sometimes we tend to put ourselves last. Many people put pleasurable things last. Many people put exercise last. Many people also put meditation last. But it is not “work.”  It’s bliss. And it’s not time consuming. And meditation is something that can completely change your life for the better. So why don’t people meditate? It just takes a change in pattern and habits. Make time for yourself.

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced meditator, we recommend starting with a video meditation. These are  mini-journeys, mini-vacations, where you go to a place of peace and serenity that has unbelievable positive effects on your mind, body, and spirit. Try it for a week and see.
